New Forest

T. Coleborn & Son Ltd. worked with esteemed architect Jane Jones-Warner Associates on this Grade II listed building built in 1964. The works included extensive repairs and internal alterations to this unique private house set in the New Forest. Large timber sliding windows were overhauled and brought back to life for beautiful views over the Solent and Isle of Wight to be enjoyed.

This was comprehensive repair project to conserve the house while maintaining its character and charm. Works included:

  • Complete re-strip & renewal of slate roof including eaves, verges, chimney, roof lights and flashings
  • Minor repairs to structure and brickwork
  • Gentle cleaning of brickwork to remove stains from water damage
  • Repairs to window and door joinery, both internal and external
  • Repairs to ironmongery, both internal and external
  • Repairs to existing fireplace and heaters to music room
  • Extensive cleaning
  • Repairs and treating all internal joinery, doors, floors, shelving and new built-in furniture
  • New heating & electrical re-wire 
  • Complete internal redecoration, including new natural lamb’s wool flooring
